Apple hired VR engineer Nat Brown, who was the first Xbox engineer.
After four years at Valve, Xbox co-creator Nat Brown has joined apple, according to VR. Brown said he has a strong interest in platform ecosystems and systems engineering, and he looks forward to continuing his work in these areas at apple. Brown said he would "focus on all graphics applications" and work with developers using graphics features on apple's platform.
Before joining apple, Brown worked as a VR engineer on Valve's VR team, which Valve disbanded earlier this year. Before joining Valve, Brown was the first engineer to join Microsoft's Xbox team in 1999.
In 2013, Brown wrote in a blog post that Apple TV had the potential to destroy the console market if third-party apps were available. But Apple didn't open the Apple TV platform in 2013, and there was no App Store for Apple TV.
